Abby is one of the O.G. members of the Chasing Vanity team, having been with the company since day one. Her role as Salon Team Leader gives her an opportunity to provide guest service, as well as guiding the team towards excellence. Chances are if you’ve called the salon you’ve had a change to chat with her! She’s an avid lover of talking, sweet treats, changing her hair color, and a nice glass of scotch. When she’s not at Chasing Vanity, Abby loves spending time with and going on adventures with her husband Tony, being under the stars, and snuggling with her cats.

When Abigail started with Chasing Vanity in 2020 she was a total skin care novice! It took very little time for her to understand and witness the transformative power of medical grade products and results-driven aesthetic treatments…now she is a forever a fan and client! Abigail loves that she is able to work in a business that focuses on helping clients look and feel their best in a compassionate and uplifting environment. She comes to CV with a background that includes work in fashion and textile design, retail management as well as interior design. Her passion in all her work has been to meaningfully connect with clients and provide an outcome that exceeds their expectations. “At CV I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love with such a supportive and dedicated team. Meet Becca a.k.a. Becks. Becks graduated from Aveda in 2016 and has been with CV since. Becks excels in cut and color services and has a firm belief that they go hand in hand. Becks is adamant that the looks she creates with her guests should check off the three F’s Flexible, Functional, and FABULOUS. Becca is a session stylist with Kevin Murphy and is involved in the assistant training program at CV! When she is not behind the chair you can usually find her with some sort of animal, usually with my dog Reagan, but occasionally with an Alpaca or two.

Originally from GR. Crystal spent 20 years in Traverse City area. Returning because of her love for the city and more opportunities. Finding her passion for skincare, she enrolled in Douglas J Aveda 2 months later. She knew she needed to be a part of something special…and wasn’t settling for just being anywhere…. Chasing Vanity…. She loves helping her clients forget about their busy lives and helps them enjoy their selfcare time spent in her spa room. In her spare time Crystal loves spending time with friends and family and seeking out old furniture to restore it to its former glory.

Meet our Master Injector, Dawn Borreson, R.N. Dawn graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy and has achieved numerous nursing certifications and awards including her Masters Degree. Dawn is a Registered Nurse for the past 40 years and specifically in the last 7 years of her experience, Dawn specialized in aesthetics and cosmetic injectables in Grand Rapids, MI. She has extensive training in injecting Dermal Fillers, Sculptra, Neurotoxins, Prf, Microneedling SkinPen, and Lasers.
Dawn’s professionalism and attention to detail help her patients to look and feel their best. Her greatest joy is enhancing the natural beauty of her patients by customizing their treatments to achieve their aesthetic goals. Dawn is a member of the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetics Nurses and continues to improve her skills with ongoing aesthetic education.

As our Director, she imparts her wisdom to the rest of our team, ensuring a cohesive and effective treatment approach. Lisa’s superpower is the ability to forge meaningful connections with her patients and cherishes the relationships she has built throughout her career, considering them one of the most rewarding aspects of her job.
When she’s not engrossed in research (clinical studies are her idea of leisure reading!), Lisa embraces a fulfilling life by the lakeshore, where she actively contributes to building her dream home alongside her partner. With four children, a golden retriever named Finn, and a beloved granddaughter named Ava, Lisa’s personal life is just as vibrant as her professional endeavors.

She has a passion for color & love natural looks! Whether that be the perfect dimensional brunette or seamless blonde, she strives for perfection in every color. Lindsy is certified in Brazilian Blowouts. If you’re looking to smooth your hair for more manageability, this service would be perfect for you! Education has always been important to her since she started her career. This industry is constantly changing, so each year she makes it a priority to seek out new classes to refine her skills on the latest trends & techniques. When she is not at work she loves spending time with her husband, 2 dogs & friends. She enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking & getting out to the lakeshore as much as possible in the summer!

Meet Madeline, but feel free to call her Maddie. You may have recently seen her working at the front desk of both the Salon and in the spa rooms preforming microblading or nano brows, where she has found another perfect fit for me at CV! She have been a part of the Chasing Vanity family since 2015 years as a Makeup Artist; her passion is helping clients feel their most confident. While she enjoy doing all makeup from dramatic to clean and everything in between her heart belongs to microblading. With that eye for detail in hand, she began studying the techniques of microblading and is dedicated to perfecting her craft while adding the latest and greatest in permanent makeup to her skill set. While Maddie is not at CV she enjoys camping, paint pouring, spending time with her partner David and their fur baby Oscar, and performing on stage, which actually lead to her passion for makeup.

Meet Terri Bowyer and a medical aesthetician and laser technician! Her passion for the beauty industry and achieving beautiful skin began in high school, although it took her years to recognize this passion! In 2018 she decided to change her career path and pursue aesthetics. Terri graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute, while there deciding medical aesthetics was the niche for her! Terri received her laser certification from National Laser Institute in 2020 and took off running. Working for Chasing Vanity is where she found her professional home and where she has taken her knowledge to new heights. Terri is also a mother to the most adorable little boy and she has a doggo named Leo. In their spare time you can find them at the beach and taking long walks (aka shopping).
